Code of Conduct for Grant Recipients
- Compliance with Arbitrum's Governance Framework: Recipients must adhere to the governance framework of the ArbitrumDAO and The Arbitrum Foundation as outlined in the Amended Constitution of the Arbitrum DAO. This includes abiding by the procedures for amendments and the recommended guidelines for good governance practice.
- Commitment to Transparency: Recipients should commit to transparency in their operations and use of the grant funds. This includes providing regular updates on project progress and financial expenditure.
- Collaboration and Communication: Recipients should establish clear communication channels with the grant committees, the Arbitrum community, and other relevant stakeholders. This will ensure alignment towards common goals and timely resolution of any issues or concerns.
- Adherence to Security and Integrity Standards: Recipients must ensure that their projects comply with the predefined rules and consensus mechanisms of the Arbitrum protocol. This includes adhering to the validation and reporting process for transactions to ensure their security and integrity.
- Contribution to the Arbitrum Ecosystem: Recipients should aim to contribute positively to the growth and development of the Arbitrum ecosystem. This could be through enhancing cross-chain compatibility, improving gas fee optimization, defining growth strategies, or incentivizing users and builders to come to Arbitrum.
- Respect for Community Decisions: Recipients should respect the decisions made by the ArbitrumDAO community, including those related to grant allocation and project approval.
- Adaptability and Continuous Improvement: Recipients should demonstrate a commitment to adaptability and continuous improvement in their projects. This includes being open to feedback and making necessary adjustments to enhance the effectiveness of their projects.
- Respect for Legal and Regulatory Requirements: Recipients should comply with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements, including those related to the Cayman Island laws where The Arbitrum Foundation is based.
- Active Participation in Arbitrum Governance: Recipients should actively participate in Arbitrum governance, including voting on key decisions and contributing to the community discussions.
- Respect for the Grant Program's Terms and Conditions: Recipients should abide by the specific terms and conditions of the STIP Grant program, including any requirements related to project duration, trading volume, and total value locked (TVL).
- Appeal Process TBD: Work in Process
This code of conduct is designed to ensure that Grant recipients contribute positively to the Arbitrum ecosystem, adhere to the highest standards of integrity and transparency, and respect the governance framework of the ArbitrumDAO and The Arbitrum Foundation.
